A career dedicated to young hearts​

Professor Jo Salmon is a globally recognised expert in the field of physical activity and sedentary behaviour. For nearly 30 years, she has dedicated her career to helping children in Australia move more and sit less. Jo’s connection with the Heart Foundation goes back decades.

“My research career would have finished very early without the Heart Foundation fellowship. The funding came at exactly the right time. It allowed me to keep doing the work that makes a difference.”​
